Long-range dispersal of Culicoides midges by the wind is a known but uncontrollable of BTV introduction route into free countries. Using simulations of atmospheric trajectories adapted to the insect specificities, we investigated the spatial and temporal risk of disease new introduction into Europe. Our tool aims to better support preparedness and response to Culicoides-borne diseases.
